Our Staff
Sprouting Scholars Preschool employs dedicated, loving teachers, and staff to work with the children in our school. Our school Director and Classroom Teachers are well trained in Early Childhood Education. Classroom Teachers possess Child Development Associate Credentials or Bachelor’s Degrees. Mandatory background screening, drug testing, and training certification are required for employment with our company.

Teaching young children is one of the most challenging and rewarding careers. Each day presents the opportunity for growth and is filled with laughter of little children.
Mrs Shauna C.

My name is Mrs. Shauna and I am the owner and Operator of Sprouting Scholars Preschool.
I am a Florida native who has been a resident of North Carolina for 9 years. I have worked within the Childcare industry for 10 years; with 8 of those years running my own licensed in-home childcare & preschool. I currently hold my Associates degree and I'm working towards my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood EDU.I have an immense amount of Early Childhood training and I'm so thrilled to be in a career of helping children grow and become little learners. I love reading and being active. I wrote a children's book, entitled "Piper's Clap Stomp Hurray Dance!" which combines the concept of reading and movement.
Each child is unique, and their early years of life are important for all areas of development. My commitment to my facility is to provide a safe, clean, and superior quality educational program that is based on each child's needs.
I believe in professionalism, quality, communication, parent involvement, and teamwork. I welcome you to stop by our facility for a tour and meet our teachers and management team.

Ms.Whitney W.
(The Stems Teacher- (2 Year Olds)
Ms. Whitney has been in the daycare field since 2008. She currently resides in Durham NC holding her childcare credentials 1 & 2. She’s also CPR/First aid certified and and has many years of extensive training, including pro solutions. Ms. Whitney loves children and selected teaching as a career, because of the joy it brings. “It is a learning experience and joy to educate young minds”.
Ms. Whitney loves to cook and spend time with her family in her spare time. Ms. Whitney wants you to know that her classroom will be a space where all her students will feel safe, loved, and cared for.

Ms. Erica B.
(The Seeds Teacher- (Infants)
Ms Erica is a mother of two teenagers and resides in Durham County. Ms Erica has 19+ years in Early Education as well as extensive amount of training. Ms Erica currently holds a Bachelors degree in Childhood Early Education.
Ms Erica enjoys spending time with her family, watching Lifetime movies, and listening to music on her off days.

Ms Erica loves working with children and believe it's her calling.

Ms Erica hopes someday to direct a daycare center.

Ms. Jaia G.
(The Roots Teacher-
(1 Year Olds)
Ms Jaia is our morning 1 year old teacher.
Ms Jaia has 1.5+ years experience in Early Education and some training as well. When Ms Jaia is not working here, She is an academic advisor for middle grade students. She works with them on goals and steps to achieve their goals. She also works at a kid salon as a receptionist on the weekends.

In Ms Jaia's spare time, she loves spending time with her family, and baking cookies.
​
Ms Jaia's long term goal its to attend school and work towards a degree in Early Education. She wants to be a director or own her own center some day.

​Ms. Bayley P.
(The Leaves/Petals Teacher- 3-5 Year Olds)
Ms. Bayley has six years of experience with children ages’ infant - school age and holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In her spare time, Ms Bayley loves to go swimming and fishing.
Ms Bayley has loved teaching since she was a child. She loves this field because, "In this field, you get to have fun in every aspect of the classroom and watch the children grow and learn from what you're teaching them."
Ms Bayley is continuing with training in the Early Education field to provide her all the knowledge she needs to provide the best care for your little ones.

Ms. Samiara W.
( Support Staff)
Ms Samiara has been in the childcare field for over 2+ years. Ms Samiara has some childcare courses under her belt as well as training. She's also CPR/First Aid certified.

Ms Samiara enjoys cooking and hanging out with family and friends.
